v0.153.3
When Beelocity refuses a save, it now says what is wrong and what to do next, in English, French and Arabic. Notifications, emails, settings, the setup steps and the printing help now use short, plain sentences too. No button or field changed its name, so you have nothing new to learn.
Improved
Messages that tell you what to do
When Beelocity refuses something, the message now says what is wrong, then what to do next. This release covers more than 400 messages, in English, French and Arabic. No button or field changed its name, so you have nothing new to learn.
- Partner tick boxes — a message now names the tick box that solves the problem: Only a supplier has a supplier status. Tick Supplier, or clear the status.
- Inactive partners — This partner is inactive, so you cannot use it on a new document. Activate it on its page first.
- Documents that do not match — A delivery note must have the same client as its sales order. Pick another sales order. Returns, bills, invoices, debit notes and credit notes read the same way.
- Codes already in use — Another register already uses this code. Pick a different one. Departments, job titles, shifts, partners and payment terms read the same way.
- Dates and limits — a message now refuses what you did. The end date is on or after the start date became The end date cannot come before the start date.
- Records you cannot delete — Other records use this record. Deactivate it instead of deleting it, or remove those records first.
- Stock units — if the app cannot convert a line's unit, the message sends you to the product's Units tab.
- Reserved parts — a work order with reserved parts now says: First issue the parts, or complete or cancel the work order.
The inbox and your emails
- Who has to act — a bill in dispute now reads: It stays on hold until someone resolves it.
- Sentences, not formulas — a low spare part now reads: fell to 12, below its critical-spare minimum of 20. The notification also says that the app drafted a requisition.
- Notification emails — the English text of each email now matches the inbox. MRP run 12 finished became Planning run 12 finished.
- Email settings — the foot of each notification email now names the page to open: Preferences, in your settings.
- Invitation emails — the email now says: To answer, sign in to Beelocity and open your pending invitations. If you have no account yet, sign up first.
Setting up a business
- Setup steps — each step says who does what: Your answers turned on these modules. Change any of them. The app creates nothing until you confirm.
- Optional fields — the Trade name tooltip now says what happens if you skip it: If you leave it empty, documents show only the legal name.
- Turning a module off — Modules now says it plainly: Nothing in it is deleted. If you turn it back on, everything is as you left it.
- Public holidays — the help now says who adds what. The app adds the five civil dates each year, and you add the feasts when they are announced.
- Audit log — it now reads: A read-only history of who did what in this organization, and when.
- Document Settings — the tooltips no longer use printers' words. The tooltip for the amount in words now says under the totals, and not under the ladder.
Lists, records and printing
- Every list — the ⓘ help now explains in short sentences how to sort, filter and move between pages. It also says that each list remembers your column widths.
- Document numbers — the tooltip now says: The app fills in the next number in your series, and you can change it before you save.
- A number already taken — That number is already taken. Pick another, or take the suggested one.
- After an update — a tab left open now says: Refresh to load the new version.
- When printing stops — the message gives the cause and the next step: The usual cause is an oversized image in the logo or in a custom block. Reduce it and try again.
- Printing many documents — the progress line now reads Preparing… 3 of 10, then Finished: 9 produced, 1 failed.
- Printing help — the ⓘ now explains in plain words how a document picks its language and how the app writes an amount in words.
Guides
- Inbox and organizations — Your Inbox, Organizations, Organization Settings and Public holidays are rewritten in short sentences, in all three languages.
- The words on your screen — Printing and Sharing Documents and Working with Records now quote the new messages word for word. The French and Arabic guides also use the app's own terms for a payslip and a partner.
Fixed
- Statements in two currencies — the help and the guide now say what happens. The app does not produce the statement, and it names the currencies.
- The Dashboard page — Organizations now describes the page you see: your key numbers, in tabs.
- Sidebar sections — Organizations no longer lists sections that have moved. It now points to Navigating Beelocity.
- Failed planning runs — Your Inbox now says that the item tells you to open the run to see why.
Internal
- Emails join the writing check — before each release, a check now also reads each email sentence, in all three languages. It refuses a sentence that is too long or that uses a semicolon.
